Michaela Gasteratou

Profile

I am a Greek-Ethiopian producer and actress based in London. Since graduating from East 15 Acting School in 2016 I have worked as an actress and voice-over artist including Twenty-Something Going Nowhere (BBC Radio 4) and Sylvia Pankhurst: Honorary Ethiopian (BBC Radio 4 and BBC World Service).

 

In 2017, as well as working at East 15 as the Community Projects Administrator I took an internship as an Assistant Lighting Technical at CASA Latin American Theatre festival at Southwark Playhouse.

 

In 2018 I commenced the MA Creative Producing course at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. In the interest combating stigma surrounding various disabilities/ medical conditions my work and research explores hidden disabilities/medical conditions whilst advocating cultural diversity.

 

In 2019 I had worked with Working Birthday’s R&D Lesbian Pirates! (Arts Depot), We Dig (Ovalhouse), East 15 and Captain Breadbeard Productions (national tour).
